Sports Injury

Sport Injury Preventative Screening

Sports injuries may be reduced when addressing supporting muscle weakness, lack of neuromuscular control, joint or muscle restrictions, and instability. Schedule with our physical therapist to assess your function and take action to improve your game and reduce risk of injury.

Staying Balanced and Functional

At Direct PT of Huntsville Tx, we are here as part as your fitness family. As we age, we do not have to accept the entire loss of mobility and function. We are here to help guide you to stay balanced and function with less pain and restrictions.

Dry Needling

Dry needling is a treatment used in physical therapy to reduce muscle tension/restrictions that are causing pain and loss of range of motion. Dry needling is also used to stimulate healing at tendon sites that are irritated and inflamed. Benefits of dry needling include improvement in range of motion, stimulate muscle firing, as well as a decrease in pain.

Cupping is a technique used to draw the skin in, separating the layers of superficial fascia. The suction causes a negative pressure that draws the old blood and cellular debris to the surface, replacing it with fresh blood. This will aid in reducing fascia restrictions, muscle tension, scars and adhesions.

At Direct PT of Huntsville Tx, our mission is to provide a valued environment for our Huntsville Families to feel confident and motivated to improve and maintain physical function including, balance, flexibility, and strength. Thomas Brabham, PT, DPT

Doctor of Physical Therapy

I graduated from the University or Mary Hardin-Baylor in 2019 with my Bachelor of Science in Pre-Physical Therapy. After graduating with my undergraduate degree, I attended Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX where I graduated with my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2021. I enjoy working patients of all ages to allow them to return to their desired activities and hobbies. My greatest passion is working with athletes of all ages and of all sports to help them recover from injuries and return to their desired sports. I have been happily married to my wife, Autumn, who is also a physical therapist, since 2019. We currently have a dog named Jasper who we enjoy playing with and taking on walks together. In my free time, I enjoy exercising and working out as well as playing golf. I am a huge college football fan and a fan of all other sports.

I have received such compassionate care from Direct PT. The staff genuinely cares for their patients. They have gym equipment and memberships available for regular gym use along with the PT program, and the massage chairs available are so relaxing!

The ladies at Direct PT are fantastic! I’m going through a second round of PT post-surgery with them. Their goal is to get you healthy and functional again, not hold onto you as a patient to make money. If you need PT go to Direct PT!!

Erin S.

The interventions I was given by another place were not working, so I sought another intervention. I have received fantastic physical therapy services from this business thus far, and give my highest recommendations. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming at their facility while being very professional.
